Cotton Seed Hulls

Cotton seed hulls represent about 27% of the cottonseed. They are rich in nutrients and fibers. Popular applications for cotton seed hulls are in cattle feed, cleaning of oil pipelines, and as a favored fertilizer for mushrooms.

Cotton seed hulls are the outer covering of the cotton seed, separated from the kernel prior to oil extraction. They contain 3-8% highly digestible cotton linters, and are considered an exceptional roughage with high effective fiber for cattle feed. They can be pelleted for ease of handling and transportation.
